Valdosta Historic Downtown Engagement session
We’d been wanting to do an engagement session in the Historic Downtown Valdosta GA for a very long time now; so when Martina and Caleb told us they wanted to have their pictures there, we were very excited! We knew they were having a Carnival themed wedding so we decided to add some representative carnival props such as candy cotton and popcorn. We all had so much fun during this photoshoot, and the best part was to be able to capture genuine moments between Martina and Caleb! They ate, they laughed, they even danced and it was a truly honor to capture how much they love each other.
Want to read some of Martina and Caleb’s story?
This is what they said:
Caleb and I met when we were 13 and 14 at our hometown skating rink in Waycross, Ga. We talked for 3 years and finally started dating when we were 16 and 17. We dated throughout high school and were in marching band together. Once Caleb graduated, he moved to Valdosta to go to college and a year later I did as well. He is currently working at the Lowndes County Jail pursuing a career in law enforcement. I’m still in college with a major in Accounting, and I will graduate in May. I currently work at the Valdosta YMCA in the childcare department. We absolutely love music and one of our favorite things to do is attend music festivals. We also love the outdoors and enjoy backpacking, kayaking, bicycling, and hiking.
If we aren’t doing one of these things, you can catch us at home watching sports or The Office. We are big Georgia sports fans! and we consider ourselves amateur foodies and love spending our weekends finding a good local eatery with live music. We will be getting married November 3rd and our reception is carnival themed. It will have lots of popcorn, cotton candy, and decorations that takes you back to an old school carnival. Caleb and I love to go on new adventures together and hope to be able to travel more in the coming years. We hope to have babies in the future, but as for now we only have fur babies! We are both really family-oriented and on our weekends off you’ll likely catch us in our hometown at a family gathering.
